Sick Day
Woke up today to 2 boogery babies.
What’s the first thing you do? Besides medicate. Ha.
I’m so blessed to have a flexible schedule that allows me to tend to my children. Though as a Stylist, if I dont work, I dont get paid. Rob has designated sick time but he uses it for emergencies. Luckily he has a very flexible schedule as well! If I can finagle my schedule to stay home with my nuggets I do.
The first thing I do is contact my first client to see if they can move their appointment later in the day when Rob gets out of work. I’m so grateful for all of my guest who help work around my schedule!
Being a Mom and a business owner is wild, you never know what the next day will bring, you literally have to be ready for anything!
One of the most important parts about being a mom is knowing what to do in situations that come out of no where. Problem solving, or trying to anyway. Our mothers instinct. Know what to do and when to do it!
My business is my non-human baby. Theres that intuition there too. It’s super hard to balance. Lively-hood and family, they both need attention. Its important to set a schedule that allows for both areas of life to be tended to. I have employees that I’m fully confident in, that can run the shop without me there.
Its important to have a good support system , team work makes the dream work!
Even when things don’t go according to plan, you always find a way to make it work.
Today I guess I’ll be relaxing, drinking tea with my girls, nursing them back to health. Lots of snacks and snuggles.
Until next time my friends!
